    Initial Platform Setup

Complete walkthrough of setting up your Bleach account and configuring basic settings.

    Overview

Welcome to Bleach! This guide will walk you through the initial setup process to get your organisation protected quickly. The setup typically takes 15-30 minutes depending on your environment.

    Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

    • Admin access to your organisation's email system (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace)
    • A list of users who will need access to the Bleach platform
    • Your organisation's domain information

    Step 1: Create Your Account

After receiving your welcome email from Bleach:

    1. Click the activation link in your welcome email
    2. Set up your password (minimum 12 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and numbers)
    3. Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) - this is required for all admin accounts
    4. Complete your profile information

    Step 2: Configure Organisation Settings

Once logged in, navigate to Settings → Organisation:

    1. Enter your organisation name and primary domain
    2. Upload your company logo (recommended size: 200x50px)
    3. Set your timezone and preferred language
    4. Configure notification preferences

Step 3: Connect Your First Integration

The power of Bleach comes from connecting to your existing tools. Start with your primary platform:

    1. Navigate to Integrations from the main menu
    2. Select Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
    3. Click "Connect" and follow the OAuth authentication flow
    4. Grant the requested permissions (see our permissions guide for details)
    5. Wait for the initial sync to complete (this may take a few minutes)

Step 4: Run Your First Security Assessment

With your integration connected, run your first assessment:

    1. Go to the Dashboard and click "Run Assessment"
    2. Select "Full Assessment" for comprehensive coverage
    3. Review the results once complete
    4. Prioritise findings by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low)

    Step 5: Invite Team Members

Add your team to collaborate on security:

    1. Navigate to Settings → Users
    2. Click "Invite User"
    3. Enter email addresses and assign appropriate roles
    4. Users will receive invitation emails to set up their accounts

    Next Steps

Now that your initial setup is complete, we recommend:

    • Exploring the Dashboard to understand your security posture
    • Setting up additional integrations for comprehensive coverage
    • Configuring security policies based on your organisation's needs
    • Scheduling regular security assessments
