Slack Integration

Overview

Integrate Slack to receive real-time security alerts, notifications, and reports directly in your team channels. Keep your security team informed without leaving Slack.

Prerequisites

• Slack Workspace Admin or Owner permissions
• Ability to approve app installations in your Slack workspace
• A designated channel for security alerts (or create one)

Step 1: Connect Slack

1. Navigate to Integrations → Available Integrations
2. Find Slack and click "Connect"
3. Click "Add to Slack"
4. Select your Slack workspace

Step 2: Authorise Permissions

1. Review the permissions Bleach is requesting
2. Click "Allow" to authorise the integration
3. You'll be redirected back to Bleach

Step 3: Configure Notification Channels

1. Select the default channel for security alerts
2. Optionally configure separate channels for different alert types
3. Set up channel routing based on severity (Critical to #security-urgent, etc.)
4. Test the connection by sending a test notification

Step 4: Configure Alert Preferences

Customise what notifications you receive:

• Critical issues - immediate notification
• High severity issues - immediate or digest
• Medium/Low issues - daily or weekly digest
• Scan completion notifications
• Weekly security summary reports

Slack Commands

Use these commands in Slack:

• /bleach status - View current security score
• /bleach issues - List open critical issues
• /bleach scan - Trigger a quick security scan
• /bleach help - View all available commands
